Remember that list thing, you know, the 101 in 1,001 list. Sigh. I'm sucking at it right now. I just read through a few of them. I am going to have to go through a lot of them and edit them. One thing I did find funny was wanting to double my blog posts this year over last year. Yeah, not going to happen. I don't think I thought that one through. I had 85 posts last year, so doubled is 170. That makes aprox 14 blog posts a month. I don't really think I'm that interesting! lol. Also, considering with one month left of 2010 and my current blog post count at 65, I think we might have some trouble. haha! Maybe I'll annoy you over this next month and try to get over 85. hmmm
I also don't think I will reach my goal of 30 (or 35?) books in 2010. I don't remember the last time I picked up a book. I would really like to get back into it. I want to add more fitness goals, tweak the ones currently there, oh about a million things I haven't thought of yet. I have less than a year left to finish them, I really hope I will be able to get most of them accomplished.
well, off to check out the list.

Yummy Yummy
Tonight we had a potluck at work. mmm mmm mmm so much yummy food in one meal. I made a salad that Dave's mom has made before. It's called Broccoli Slaw Salad, but I've been calling it noodle salad. I got a lot of requests at work for the recipe so here it is
1pkg broccoli slaw
2 pkg of Mr Noodles (chicken flavor)
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup sliced almonds
2 green onions sliced fine
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
cook mr noodles - boil water or microwave to cook, set chicken seasoning aside for use later. Do not overcook noodles. Let cool enough to handle. Break Noodles into small pieces and put into a bowl. Add Broccoli slaw, green onion, sunflower seeds and almonds.
In a tempered glass (glass measuring cup) add sugar, vinegar, oil and chicken seasoning. Mix then heat in Microwave until sugar is completely dissolved. (1-2 minutes should be good) Let cool then add to salad.
Toss salad again before serving.
Enjoy every minute of the salad. lol. It's very quick to make.
Austin has been so adorable lately. If you ask him what noise a monkey makes he will say eee eee. He also plays the I hear ewe game on my ipod touch and when he touches the train he says hooo hooo. and tries to imitate the motorcycle sounds. It's so cute!
I finished reading Waiter Rant, it's by Steve Dublanica. It was a really good book, it's from this blog http://waiterrant.net/ all about stories from him and his time being a waiter. I need to start reading some more... got to get moving on it!!!

Houston, we have a reader!
My son is so adorable!! He's started to read. Before I would try to read with him and even get him to look at books and he wouldn't. He still will only sit for maybe 2-3 pages while I read to him but now he reads on his own. Instead of it being super quiet and me in a panic thinking "uh oh, what is he getting into?" I look over and he's sitting on the floor with a book in his lap studying every page. Then he will turn the page and go through the whole book. He got a set of Thomas the Tank Engine books for his birthday that he's just shown an interest in and will sit and read them.
He also has a thomas the Tank Engine sheet for his crib, (which is a little big for the mattress since he managed to pull it off and throw it on the floor after his nap this afternoon) and yesterday when Dave got him up from his nap he said choo choo. He also said this morning baby.
The other day he sat and read through an entire book, then looked at me and started waving the book around and talking very excitedly in his super cute babble. I'm guessing he was telling me all about the pictures he had just read.
